Becoming a Neighborhood of Choice

The Boston Housing Authority, Preservation of Affordable Housing and Madison Park Development Corporation have partnered to transform the Whittier Street public housing development and the surrounding area into a “neighborhood of choice”.

Over the last 18 months, in developing the draft Whittier Choice Transformation Plan, Boston Housing Authority, Madison Park Development Corporation, Preservation of Affordable Housing and community residents and groups have come together to “develop draft strategies that build on the strengths of our community to capitalize on planned investment while maintaining the fabric and soul of Lower Roxbury.” The draft plan is now ready for broad community feedback and discussion.
