Discovering Uphams Corner & the Strand Theatre in 2013
Jan 24, 2013
Strand Theatre
Uphams Corner is a community in the process of change and revitalization.

The Strand Theatre is hosting excellent performances, many of them free. The community is much safer than it used to be. Two quality restaurants are worth the visit and many others close by.

The City of Boston Public Works Infrastructure Improvement Project will create a new look and feel to the community in about one year.

2013 is a prime time to begin discovering Uphams Corner and the Strand.

Looking Down at Uphams Corner from the ISS
Jan 23, 2013

International Space StationAt 8000+ residents strong, Uphams Corner walks boldly in the sands of (Boston’s) time.

But from the view of the International Space Station, we barely exist.  Giacomo Sardelli's video, 'Further Up Yonder,' reminds us that all of us can make a difference.

Uphams Corner can become a model welcoming community without borders - one that cares for each and every person who lives and works here.

That is our greatest wish for 2013 - that we wear an enduring sense of purpose that will make our community shine.
