Upham's Corner InSight into the News
Keno Promoting Crime in Upham's Corner
November 17, 2011

The existence of a "surprise" Keno game license in a dangerous section of Upham's Corner
was brought up at the June 2011
SNI meeting Safe Street police officers.
How did the business get a license without anyone in the area knowing about this in advance? None of
the abutters were aware of the impending change, nor the neighborhood
associations nor, it would appear, the CITY OF BOSTON!

crime. The business, El Frutero, appears to be complicit.
Just what Upham's Corner needs!

and tuba accompaniment and the crowd participating in song and cheer.
While the tree lighting is an important symbol
of the Christmas season,
for the Salvation Army the real symbol of charity is their red kettle
and its ever-ringing bell.

Upham's Corner and the City of Boston's commitment to maintaining the
Strand as one of the last working vintage neighborhood theatres in
America.
In a fitting recognition of the day and the mission of the Strand
Theatre in supporting the communities of Roxbury, Dorchester and

3 Things - An Introduction
To Interrupt obsessive thoughts, count to three. Lift
the word brush and paint a dot of thought. Thrice held and
