Building on a trend of cooperative volunteerism, youth from the Bird Street Community Center and Upham's Corner Main Street banded together to create a "Service Day" on Saturday, October 22, 2011.

Bird Street Community Center - Teaching about Recycling

On Oct 22,2011 our youth will be encouraging you to recycle from your local business or home! We will be making visits on our service day all over the Dorchester (Upham's Corner) area, by knocking on doors of residences and businesses to hand information as reinforcement to our recycling mission.

Brochures of information will be given on recycling in the home and ways to improve if you currently do, how it beautifies our community by limiting trash consumption and cuts cost for local businesses!!!

Waste Reduction Diyi ion of Public Works is still accepting recycling bin requests for delivery.
