 Following
their December 11, 2012 community meeting, the Public Works Department
and their consultants have been working on a set of recommended designs
for the improvement of the "corridor" between the Strand Theatre and
the City Parking Lot behind the businesses (CVS) on Dudley Street in
Uphams Corner.
On January 31, 2013, Zachary Wassmouth, Principal Civil Engineer for
the project, presented and discussed with the Uphams Corner
Infrastructure Sub-committee three designs and took note of suggestions
committee members made for improving these recommendations.
The final set of three alternative designs will be presented at the Uphams Corner public meeting on February 12, 2013.
This is considered an
important meeting, one where residents and all stakeholders have an
opportunity to express their opinions on what is right for Uphams
Corner.
