I just want to thank you. I feel like a  star thanks to you. It really  was a nice article. I put it up on our bulletin board so every one could see. Now they are calling me Hollywood.

Nancy,  Congrats, on well done job. The pictures really do tell a story. Seeing Erin transform into a clown was amazing.

25 Virginia St Group House

DSS should have no connection with 25 Virginia Street  (DSS, now DCF, is usually for under 22yr olds only). A better place to start is the Disabled Persons Protection Commission (DPPC)
Rev John Odams

Rev John,

Thank you for your care and concern. As a result of your comments, we have contacted both DPPC and DMH and provided the information to them.   We stand corrected on the new name - DCF - and we wish to note that the title of the article refers to the opening remarks, namely the Upham's Corner "Fairy Tale." Contacting someone was the issue. Certainly DCF is not the right spot.

H&R Block Vandalism Mon, Sep 13, 2010 at 9:14 AM
The vandalism of H&R Block highlights two major problems with Upham's Corner:
  • a baseline level of indifference by businesses and city government to anything and anyone who lives in the area, and
  • the persistence of predatory businesses in the area that have nothing of any real value to contribute to the neighborhood.

Thank you for creating this newspaper. I hope people in the neighborhood become more aware of it.

Hi Nancy,
I was born and raised in Upham's Corner (my family still lives on Bird Street) and I currently live in Miami, where I am a 2nd grade teacher as part of the Teach for America program.

I was president of Upham's Corner Westside Neighborhood Association for a short while before leaving for Miami.
I love that you have created this [Upham's Corner News] and am excited to be able to still get updates about Upham's Corner while I am temporarily living away from the area.

Thanks, Sasha Mungal,

I had just had read the article that you had done on the new store in Upham's Corner. Fantastic, Nancy, just fantastic.
I think your writing is just wonderful and what you said about the company and what you said about me and the management was just fantastic. I thank you.

Anytime I can support any type of business in that area, don't hesitate to call me. It will be my pleasure.

Dear Nancy;

I found out a few days ago about Brian Fahy's death. His mother works at Carney Hospital. Please give my condolences to Damian. This is a loss to all of us. It is not fair. I can't tell you how upset I am.  I Thank you for sharing this sad news with me. May God have mercy.
