Jose Mateo Ballet Theatre - Open Auditions for Children's Roles 2014 Nutcracker

José Mateo Ballet Theatre holds OPEN auditions in Cambridge (9/6), Duxbury (9/21), and Roxbury (9/13) for Children’s roles in its 27th annual production of The Nutcracker.  Over 500 Children expected to audition for the most beloved holiday classic.  The production will take place in Cambridge, Duxbury and Dorchester.

The José Mateo Ballet Theatre is holding  children’s Auditions for The Nutcracker.  José Mateo Ballet Theatre, looking for 200 children to fill 3 casts in the roles of Party Children, Mice, Soldiers, Angels, Court Attendants,Polichinelles, and Clara.
José Mateo Ballet Theatre’s 27th annual production of The Nutcracker will tour this holiday season to

- The Duxbury Performing Arts Center (November 28-30),
- The Sanctuary Theatre, Cambridge (December 4-14), and
- The Strand Theater, Dorchester (December 20-21).

All children cast in the production will perform in all three locations.   Children and teenagers ages 6*-18 are welcome to audition.  Previous dance experience is not required for children ages 6-10.  José Mateo Ballet Theatre’s Nutcracker is the only local professional production to hold open auditions for young dancers outside its own school.
