Screen Free WeekPlan to Participate in "Screen Free Week" for Your Health's Sake

Have you ever heard of "Screen Free Week"?

Did you know that participation is good for your health and for your family, too?

The Friends of the Uphams Corner Library is sponsoring events for Screen Free Week (SFW) scheduled for May 5 - May 11, 2014.

They will be sending out more details on dates and times to their members.  Everyone is invited to help support and organize events that promote life free of cell phones, tablets and computers.

The Friends group needs donations of gently used board games.  They are inviting you to look through your drawers and closets for games you don't use and which have all their pieces and instructions.  Donations can be left with library staff at the front desk or in the Children's Room of the Uphams Corner Library at 500 Columbia Rd.

Anyone interested in helping organize publicity or events for Screen Free Week, please attend the next meeting of the Friends of the Uphams Corner Library, Saturday March 8th @ 930 a.m. or feel free to contact Katherine Jenkins Kjom <kjd100@gmail.com>.
