Spring officially began on Wednesday, March 20, 2013. Four days later, some churches distributed Palms to their parishioners as a celebration of the start of Christian Holy Week. These photos were taken on Palm Sunday, March 24 and capture the people, objects and natural settings present in Uphams Corner that day. The people were friendly and loved having their photos taken.
Nature was cooperative as well, showing signs that Winter was still around with leftover covers and clumps of snow. The green of the evergreens notwithstanding, the green of new grown life was perking its way out of the soil while other bushes were holding off on releasing their spring leaves and blossoms.
