José Mateo Ballet Theatre presents the Sixth Annual Dance for World Community Festival, Saturday, June 14, 2014. FREE and open to the public, this indoor/outdoor celebration in Harvard Square, Cambridge showcases dance as a positive force to better our world. The Festival offers something for everyone with free performances and classes in all dance forms, from Ballet to Hip Hop and beyond. This year’s Festival, at José Mateo Ballet Theatre’s home (1151 Massachusetts Avenue) is expected to attract over 20,000 people.

Four outdoor stages with performances by 65+ local dance troupes in a variety of dance forms including African, Ballet, Folk, Hip Hop, Irish Step, Modern, Salsa, and many more. Performers include: José Mateo Ballet Theatre, BoSoma Dance Company, FlamencoBoston, and Triveni Ensemble.
